TENNOVA HEALTHCARE
CLARKSVILLE
MARKETING | IN-HOUSE COLLATERAL | HEALTHCARE
I was given the opportunity to intern in the Marketing and Public Relations department at Tennova HealthCare Clarksville, where I gained hands-on experience in a variety of creative and professional projects. During my time there, I worked on designing and producing campus signage and flyers, contributed to in-house photography, and assisted with coordinating marketing events. This internship allowed me to apply my skills in a real-world setting while learning the importance of clear communication, branding, and community engagement within the healthcare industry.
During my internship, I created “evergreen” posts that highlighted Tennova HealthCare Clarksville’s doctors and their services in a way that felt fresh and clean. These posts were designed to stay relevant year-round while maintaining a modern and approachable look to keep patients and the community engaged.
The posts also featured the wonderful staff headshots taken
by Andrew Hanson, which added a professional and polished touch that helped showcase the providers in the best light.
This gave the marketing team a reliable library of timeless content to continually promote the hospital’s trusted care.
Another task I was given as part of my internship, I redesigned the hospital’s marketing collateral flyers that featured doctors and their services. The previous versions were hard to read and felt clunky, so I created a fresh and approachable design that was both visually engaging and easy to understand.
These updated flyers introduced physicians, highlighted their specialties, and showcased their expertise in a way that built trust while also reflecting the professionalism of Tennova HealthCare Clarksville. By improving readability and modernizing the look, the flyers became a stronger tool for connecting with patients and reinforcing the hospital’s role as a trusted provider in the community.
During my internship, I updated the hospital’s hallway banners to better showcase certifications and available services. I refreshed the outdated designs with a clean, modern look that aligned with the brand and made the information easier to read. The updated banners effectively highlighted the hospital’s areas of excellence while creating a more professional and welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors.
I also had the opportunity to capture photography on campus, covering everything from luncheons and community events to documenting groundbreaking surgeries. These projects allowed me to showcase the hospital’s culture, milestones, and community involvement through a professional and creative lens.
